Trees rely on diverse communities of fungi in the soil to access additional nutrients, grow faster, and survive difficult environmental conditions. While conventional forest management practices have boosted productivity in many ways, they have also led to an unintended but significant loss of these essential soil fungi.
Without this underground support system, forests don’t reach their full potential, limiting growth and long-term resilience.
We partner with landowners to restore forest soils by reintroducing native, biodiverse fungi at the time of planting.
